In this particular design project, I had the opportunity to work with two distinct products, each crafted from different materials: wooden panels and metal panels with integrated lighting features. These panels played a pivotal role in enhancing the ambiance and functionality of the space, which was designated as a student center.
The decision to incorporate wooden panels was driven by the desire to infuse the space with a sense of warmth and comfort. By strategically placing these wooden panels throughout the student center, we aimed to create an inviting atmosphere where students could relax, study, and socialize in a comfortable setting reminiscent of a cozy lounge or café.
On the other hand, the metal panels with embedded lighting served a dual purpose. Not only did they provide illumination to the space, but they also added a contemporary and stylish element to the design. These panels were strategically positioned along the bottom of one of the circulation areas, drawing attention to this pathway and serving as a focal point within the student center.
